Overview
SHIFT80, a brand dedicated to transforming the world through sustainable fashion, is hosting a design competition aimed at discovering talented designers and providing creative opportunities for ambitious youths residing in Kenya. This event will inject fresh energy into Kenya's fashion industry and support designers from Japan and worldwide to succeed on the global stage.

Sustainable Fashion : We encourage the creation of sustainable fashion using second-hand and recycled materials to reduce environmental impact.
Eligibility
- ・Open to designers residing in Kenya, aged 18 or older, regardless of nationality.
- ・Individuals aspiring to work as designers for SHIFT80.
- ・Team entries are allowed.
How to Enter
No Entry Fee Required.

Step 1: Instagram Submission:

Post on Instagram: In addition to the online submission, you must post photos of your sustainable garment on Instagram. Videos can also be shared if you choose.
- Social Tagging: When posting, tag SHIFT80 (@shift80jp) and include the hashtag #shift80_design_prize.

Step 2: Online Submission:

Complete Your Garment: Ensure your garment is fully completed before submission.

Submit Online: Use our online form to submit your entry. You must include the garment's name, the inspiration behind it, and detailed information about the materials used.

Upload Media: Attach photos of your garment to the online form. Optionally, you can also upload videos to enhance your submission

Each step is essential to complete your entry. Failing to follow any part of the submission process may result in disqualification.
Entry Requirements

・Garments: Entries must consist of at least one complete look, such as a combination of a top and pants.

・Accessories: Accessory designers are also welcome to participate. Hats, bags, and rings can be submitted individually.
- ・You may submit multiple looks if they adhere to the theme.
- ・Previously submitted works in other contests are also acceptable.
Judging Process
- First Judging: November 22 to 29. Finalists notified by December 1.
- Final Judging & Awards Night: Time to celebrate! After the first round, qualifying works will be displayed at a venue in Nairobi for the final judging, where the winners will be announced. The final assessment is scheduled for December 11 (Wednesday).
Prizes
- Grand Prize: 50,000 Ksh.
- Excellence Award: 30,000 Ksh.
Benefits
- ・Winning entries will become the property of SHIFT80, and winners will have the opportunity to contract with SHIFT80.
- ・Non-winning entries may also be considered for acquisition by SHIFT80.
Judges
- Judges will be chosen from industry experts and influencers to ensure a fair evaluation.

概要
サステイナブルファッションで世界をシフトさせるブランド「SHIFT80」は、才能あふれるデザイナーを発掘し、ケニア在住の意欲ある若者に創造的な機会を提供することを目的にデザインコンペティションを開催します。新たな才能との出会いにご期待ください。
デザインテーマ
- サステイナブル: 古着やリサイクル素材を用いた持続可能なファッションを創出し、環境負荷を低減して製作された作品を推奨します。
応募資格
- 18歳以上のケニア在住のデザイナーおよびデザイナーを目指す熱意ある者（国籍不問）
- SHIFT80のデザイナーとして活躍することを希望する者
- チーム参加可能
応募作品の要件
- 服の応募: 応募する服は1ルック以上とします。これは、トップスとパンツの組み合わせなど、完成されたコーディネートを意味します。
- アクセサリーの応募: アクセサリーデザイナーも歓迎します。帽子やバッグ、リングなどのアクセサリーは、単独で応募することが可能です。
- テーマに沿っていれば複数のルックを応募可
- 他のコンテストに応募したことのある作品も可
賞金
- 最優秀賞: 5万ケニア・シリング
- 優秀賞: 3万ケニア・シリング
特典
- 入賞作品はSHIFT80のものになり、SHIFT80との契約の機会が与えられます。
- また、入賞作品以外もSHIFT80による買取が検討されます。
審査員
- 審査員は業界の専門家やインフルエンサーなどから選ばれ、公正な評価が行われます。
